Communities throughout St. Francois County will come together the week of June 21–27 for “Paint the Towns Purple,” a vibrant awareness campaign designed to support the Alzheimer’s Association and raise funds for the upcoming Mineral Area Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Businesses and organizations in Farmington, Park Hills, Desloge, and Bonne Terre are encouraged to turn storefronts purple and help spread the message of hope and support for those impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
The campaign invites local companies to take part by decorating their businesses in purple, sharing Alzheimer’s Association resources with customers, and raising funds to support research and care. A friendly competition will be held to determine which business raises the most, with the winner announced on June 30. Participants are encouraged to send in photos of their displays by June 25.
"Companies of all sizes can make a meaningful impact," said campaign organizers. "This effort is not only about raising funds, but also showing solidarity with the many individuals and families in our communities who are affected by Alzheimer’s."
