The Park Hills–Leadington Chamber of Commerce recently wrapped up its 7th Annual Main Street Scarecrow Contest, an autumn tradition that brings creativity, color, and community pride to downtown Park Hills each October.
The 2025 contest saw remarkable participation from local families, businesses, schools, and organizations, all contributing imaginative and festive displays that lined Main Street throughout the Halloween season. This year’s winners truly captured the spirit of the season and the heart of our community:
People’s Choice: The McLaughlin Family
Most Traditional: The Beauty Loft
Most Creative: Central Middle & High School Library Crew
Best Depiction of an Organization/Business/Person: Trinity Lutheran Church
Each winner will receive a commemorative trophy and photo feature with the Chamber, coordinated by MacKenzie Page, Executive Assistant at the Park Hills–Leadington Chamber of Commerce. Winners are asked to keep their scarecrows on display for the time being so residents and visitors can continue to enjoy their work.
“This contest is one of our favorite ways to celebrate the season and showcase the creativity that thrives in our community,” said Tamara Coleman, Executive Director of the Chamber. “Every year we’re blown away by the effort our participants put into their scarecrows. It’s truly a reflection of the pride and personality of Park Hills.”
The competition was close in nearly every category, making it a difficult decision for judges and voters alike. The Chamber extends its sincerest thanks to all participants for their time, creativity, and enthusiasm, as well as to community members who supported their favorites by voting on social media.
Now in its seventh year, the Scarecrow Contest continues to grow as one of the Chamber’s most beloved seasonal events—uniting local families, businesses, and organizations in the spirit of friendly competition and small-town charm.
Photos of this year’s entries and winners can be viewed on the Park Hills–Leadington Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, and the Chamber invites everyone to join in the fun next fall for the 8th Annual Main Street Scarecrow Contest.
