About SMTS & This Project
Southeast Missouri Transportation Service (SMTS) is a nonprofit public transportation provider serving 21 counties across Southeast Missouri. SMTS offers door-to-door transit services connecting rural residents with essential destinations such as healthcare providers, grocery stores, employment centers, and more.
Currently, SMTS operations for St. Francois County are based in Farmington. In the coming months, those operations will relocate to Park Hills, where a newly purchased building will be rehabilitated and expanded. The site, located at 3343 Commonwealth Drive, once housed the Missouri State Highway Patrol and will soon serve as a modern hub for regional transit services.
The project moves forward under the direction of Brockmiller Construction, which has been awarded the construction contract.
We hope you’ll join us to mark this exciting milestone as SMTS strengthens its commitment to regional access, infrastructure improvement, and community connection.
