2014 Workers' Compensation Seminar

In 2013, Missouri saw significant changes in several areas impacting the Workers' Compensation system. New legislation on Second Injury Fund Cases and Occupational Diseases became effective in August.  Changes in the way minor injuries should be handled have also been implemented.  Several court cases are poised to change the landscape as well.   Each of these changes could impact your work comp costs. 

This seminar will offer:

• Practical training, including case studies and the opportunity to ask questions of workers' compensation issue experts.
• An easy-to-understand, comprehensive discussion on Missouri's experience rating formula, status of the split-point value and the Second Injury Fund and occupational disease due to toxic exposure.

About the Speakers: Matt Murphy is a former Administrative Law Judge who has over 16 years of experience in handling workers compensation claims. Randall Gammill has worked with the Missouri Division of Workers' Compensation as an employer consultant and wrote the Division's original employer guide titled An Employer's Guide to Workers' Compensation Basics.
